The China Cross-border Amazon Advertising team is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for cross-border brands of all sizes. Our ad solutions—including sponsored ads, display, video, audio, and custom ads—leverage Amazon’s innovations and insights to find, attract, and engage audiences throughout their daily journeys. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service, managed service, and programmatic ad buying, these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, increase product sales, and more.

Within our China Cross-border Amazon Advertising Marketing organization, we are seeking an accomplished marketing leader to bring the Amazon Advertising brand to life at our events with an industry leading program for event content, thought leadership programming, and keynote engagements among advertisers and agencies. The right candidate will have a track record of leading a team of marketers and content developers to build content strategies for owned, industry, and executive events. This role will have end-to-end ownership of programming for events and industry main stages, speaker selection and preparation, and keynote and executive communications. This person should be creative, results oriented, relentlessly focused on the customer, and push to uphold high standards for brand building and marketing execution. This person should be passionate about building compelling messages and thought leadership with the goal of shifting advertiser perceptions and driving sustained awareness and brand familiarity. You will also report out on program health regularly to key stakeholders and partner teams across the organization. This position will be based in Shanghai and will report to the Head of Marketing, Asia Cross-border.

This is a highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership across China and global teams, executive leadership, speakers, Product Marketing, Product Management, Insights & Research, Finance, Channel Marketing, Sales, and PR, and requires strong Chinese and English communication skills, both verbal and written. This role requires a creative marketer and a solid story-teller to shift perceptions through inspiration and thought leadership on the industry’s biggest stages and agency customers. As an owner, you will define the Amazon Advertising event content strategy and marketing narratives for virtual and in-person events. You will also drive efficiencies in the review and approval processes for event content, as well as up-level the storytelling to inspire customers while scaling globally.

Key job responsibilities
· Hire, lead, and develop a team of event content managers, keynote developers, and program managers; set the strategy and long term thinking for the team
· Define program goals and timelines related to key content deliverables and communicate those expectations to global content stakeholders.
· Work closely with senior leaders to understand key messaging and product roadmaps in order to build successful content strategy for a multitude of events
· Own the measurement of event programming and content, and associated KPIs
· Refine the external voice and expand public presence of Amazon Advertising across the industry
· Set and hold a consistently high bar for design and content quality of all customer-facing marketing materials and events
· Drive brand consistency and adoption, and develop recommendations for new brand initiatives
· Build and continually assess competitive offerings to ensure brand differentiation and competitiveness
· Dive deep when necessary on content execution and production; main point of contact for major onsite content escalations
· Serve as an internal advocate for customer needs; ensure broad awareness of, and empathy for, customer pain points

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience managing teams
- 10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in traditional and emerging media channels including TV, OOH, cinema, digital display, online video and paid social
- Experience leading across multiple locales
