Operations Director

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to lead our client’s Shanghai-based manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the plant, focusing on maintaining production efficiency, high-quality output, and ensuring the safety of all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily plant functions, with an emphasis on production goals, quality standards, and timely deliveries.
• Supervise the supply chain process, including raw material procurement, inventory management, and customs procedures.
• Build and develop a high-performing team of department heads and supervisors.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining strong relationships and addressing client needs effectively.
• Oversee compliance with legal and regulatory safety requirements, creating a safe working environment.
• Serve as the primary liaison with local government bodies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, and oversee the implementation of the annual budget, including capital investments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.

Extensive experience in leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.

Fluency in both Mandarin and English (written and spoken).

Solid understanding of local laws and regulatory requirements for plant operations.

Strong business acumen with knowledge of budgeting, planning, and key performance metrics.

In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, productivity processes, and quality management.

Previous work experience in multinational companies is preferred.
