Overview
Synaptics is seeking an enthusiastic and growth-driven Regional Marketing Manager to join our team in Shenzen. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in marketing, sales, or business development within the SoC or MPU industry. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and driving the expansion of our product offerings in the region. The successful candidate will be comfortable with frequent travel and possess the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Product Marketing.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the SoC, MPU and AI MCU markets in Taiwan and Southeast Asia
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ODMs, partners, and industry stakeholders
- Collaborate with the local sales, FAE, product marketing and engineering teams to align business strategies with product development goals
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making
- Drive the regional go-to-market strategy for new product launches and expansions
- Travel frequently to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support regional sales efforts
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities and results
Competencies
- Strong understanding of the semiconductor industry, particularly in the SoC/MPU market
- Proactive, self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate
- Positive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideas
- Able to solve routine problems through practical use of technology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful relationship building
Qualifications (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in SoC or MPU marketing, sales, or business development
- Proven track record of driving business growth and developing strategic partnerships
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is required
- Education / degree in field or related field, or equivalent
- Ability to travel frequently travel up to 50% within the region, and 2 trips internationally every year
