:Product Engineering Specialist
Core Responsibilities:
Develop critical relationships with customer engineering and manufacturing team members within the assigned customer base to support overall growth plan. Serve as technical spokesperson to customer materials engineering and paint manufacturing groups. Manage corrective steps to resolve product performance issues. Lead product quality investigations with structured problem-solving and report results through Sales Force. Provide a Voice of Customer to the Axalta Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Manufacturing functions. Lead various product initiatives with assigned customer group. Support new product launches and technology transfers in all regions. Contribute technical expertise in translating product data into effective marketing and sales tools. Make written and oral presentations to customers. Manage APQP documentation for new product developments and submissions. Assist the Product Engineering Manager in aligning customer product approvals with Axalta strategies.Key Job Requirements :
Undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or other technical field. Adept at working in a multi-cultural environment. Experience working in a global environment a plus. Knowledge of paint formulation and application processes. Must possess at least 3-7 years of relevant automotive and/or coatings industry experience to include a combination of technical, operational, and commercial roles. Experience working in an R&D environment and bringing new products to market is highly preferred. Ability to influence customers and establish strong customer relationships. Capable of managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and leading multi-functional teams without direct control. Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with data-based decision making capability. Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into product offerings / solutions. Strong IT, computer, and data processing skills. Proficiency in MS Office is a must. Experience using SalesForce.com and information databases a plus. Ability to collaborate and build teamwork is essential.Our Company:
