Assistant FP & A Manager role is integral in supporting the Senior Finance Manager in aligning financial strategies with overarching business goals. This position is designed to assist in providing strategic insights, aiding in precise forecasting, and contributing to budgetary guidance that facilitates informed decision-making by the executive leadership team.

Description

Tasks and accountabilities:

Financial Analysis o Assist in collecting and compiling financial data from various sources for preparing Financial Reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

o Assist in preparing business/product performance analysis and identifying key drivers. o Conduct variance analysis between actual and budget/forecast results. *

Budgeting and Forecasting o Collaborate with business units for annual budgeting and forecasting. o Assist in planning the overall budget and analysing company and channel profitability.

Financial Modelling o Contribute to creating models for long-term growth projections and business factor analysis. o Assist in projecting revenues, forecasting expenses, cash flow analysis, and reporting. o Aid in delivering competitor analysis, market trends, and tracking performance metrics to the Leadership team.

Cost Analysis o Assist in reviewing operational efficiency and identify cost-saving opportunities. o Provide detailed analysis and commentary on cost centre results.

Business Partnering o Collaborate with leadership to develop mid- to long-term financial and business strategic plans. o Support in preparing business cases for new investments and strategic decisions.

Process Improvement and Reporting o Utilize BI tools for meaningful insights into business performance. o Contribute to evaluating and improving existing processes and procedures. o Identify optimization potential and contribute to the development of key figure systems or controlling instruments.

Compliance o Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and accounting standards. o Assist in audit preparations and responses.

Profile

Financial Analysis o Experience in financial modelling, financial ratios, and gap analysis.

o Proficient in analysing financial data with quantitative skills and meaningful insights.

Strategic Thinking o Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of long-term financial plans.

Budgeting and forecasting o Ability to actively support budgeting and forecasting processes focusing on accuracy and relevance. o Knowledge of profit and cost centre

Communication skills o Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.

o Proactive and results-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

BI Tools Proficiency o Experience using Business Intelligence tools to extract actionable insights for decision making.

Problem Solving o Being detail-oriented ensuring correctness, completeness, and compliance.

o Adept at identifying challenges, proposing solutions, and making informed decisions to address financial issues. * Compliance:

o Understanding of accounting principles is necessary for analysing financial data. o Knowledge of International and Chinese Financial Reporting Standard.

o Knowledge of IRAS and relevant statutory guidelines. Qualifications: Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related fields. Work experience

Minimum two years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision support Technical skills

Proficiency in financial modelling, well versed in MS Excel, and other relevant financial software.

Experience in SAP an added advantage. Language Skills and related level

Fluent English

Fluent Chinese
