Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our team in Asia. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing pre-bid positioning activities, end-to-end bid management, and delivery of multi-million-dollar contracts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing, coordinating, writing, and developing EOI/PQQ/RFT/RFP responses, incorporating client specifications within strict timescales
  • Facilitating pursuit planning and bid kick-off meetings, including win theme development and capturing bid feedback/lessons learned
  • Working with the bid team to develop and communicate localized win themes, strategies, and creative approaches, ensuring key requirements are captured within the bid
  • Contributing to bid pipeline visibility by engaging with sector teams and regional teams to understand pipeline, while maintaining bid logs
  • Providing structured and proactive support to directors and teams to prepare for future bids, equipping client teams to position, demonstrate value, and understand future opportunities
  • Project managing and incorporating input from bid partners, directors, technical experts, and wider teams to ensure a consistent and coherent final bid against scoring criteria
  • Engaging with various support functions of the bid process from technical, IT, finance, and HR
  • Assisting in the writing of executive summaries, key methodologies, CVs, and project case studies
  • Quality assuring and providing peer review of another writer's work, ensuring the bid is submitted for review for internal quality assurance and governance processes
  • Reviewing and amending draft bids considering feedback from peers, directors, and bid managers
  • Following submission of the bid, extracting key information from the tender and managing information in line with information management processes and following internal feedback analysis processes
  • Providing best practice training on bid process, structure, and quality
  • Supporting the preparation of other deliverables related to the opportunity, such as interview presentations and follow-up requests
  • Supporting Business Development with any other activity as required

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Business, Marketing, English, or engineering. Association of Proposal Management Professional accreditation advantageous
  • 8 years' experience of bid management and writing successful bid submissions
  • Proof-reading skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail, including ensuring responses adhere to word/page limits
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality
  • Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing, and ability to foster credible collaborative relationships
  • Team player who is willing to adapt to changing priorities of the business
  • Contribute openly to the team with innovations and ideas to ensure the success and development of the company
