Job Summary

The Regional Sales Manager will play a key role in executing our business strategy and marketing plan. This individual will commercialize new product innovations for the Cleaning Goods, Personal Care & Pharma business in northeast Asia. Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, this role will identify and develop new customers/markets and drive actions that position the business for short-term and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead a team of 24 total employees (direct and indirect; open positions) and functions that support the business.
  2. Active and thoughtful engagement in the HPC Leadership Team.
  3. Grow the business profitably; utilizing marketing plans and value propositions to maximize impact.
  4. Implement value pricing to ensure full value of Nouryon's offering is received.
  5. Set price, own contracts, and manage customer decisions for the India organization.
  6. Develop strong relationships with customers, distributors, and other stakeholders to grow share of wallet.
  7. Establish and build senior-level relationships with key decision makers and buyers at direct customers.
  8. Grow the selling project opportunity pipeline, using application science as a key offering.
  9. Ensure disciplined management and performance of distribution channels.
  10. Communicate compelling customer and competitor insights back to the Marketing and R&D organization.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Engineering-related discipline.
  2. Candidates with an MBA are desirable.
  3. A minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, marketing, technical service, R&D, or product management roles, with preference for experience in the home and personal care chemical industries.
  4. Candidates who have experience working for a cleaning goods, personal care, and/or pharmaceutical product manufacturers are also encouraged to apply.
  5. Fluency in English.
  6. Comfortable working across global cultures.
  7. Communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills.
  8. Customer negotiations.
  9. Business software, such as SAP, CRM, Salesforce.com, Arkieva, Anaplan.
  10. High level of proficiency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
