Job Title: Assistant Key Account Manager

Join Deckers Brands as an Assistant Key Account Manager and contribute to the growth of our HOKA brand in China. As a key member of our Partner Retail and Wholesale team, you will be responsible for driving sales and margin growth through effective management of key partner retailers and multi-brands retailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve HOKA business objectives, ensuring brand representation, sales, and gross margin growth with designated partner retailers and key accounts.
  • Identify brand and product growth opportunities at the market level to maximize sales across existing and new product categories.
  • Liaise with merchandising, demand planning, and operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting and buying-to-forecast, as well as logistics and inventory control for designated partner retailers and key accounts.
  • Direct business channels on product line merchandising, selection, and selling strategies as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, and international marketing teams to ensure seasonal sell-in packages are complete and communicated effectively.
  • Participate in key global brand meetings, including seasonal finalization, launch meetings, and Asia Pacific regional meetings.
  • Plan and organize seasonal trade shows for designated partner retailers and wholesale retailers, leading them to place seasonal POs in line with budget plans.
Business Development:
  • Maximize multi-brands channel opportunities to grow general wholesale business in appointed territories.
  • Strategically develop Partner Retail Mono-Store channels with partner retailers as priority to grow HOKA business in China markets in line with long-range HOKA plans.
  • Identify and recommend potential areas for brand marketing investment to drive brand awareness and sales, above and beyond local activity.
  • Identify potential product collaborations that align with the brand strategy and make recommendations to the product team for approval.
Account Management:
  • Act as the first point of contact for designated partner retailers and key accounts within the HOKA brand.
  • Strategically contact and manage designated customers on a consistent, predictable cadence.
  • Regularly check and ensure HOKA point-of-access management in terms of brand image and visual merchandising, ensuring sales staff at HOKA points of access are well-trained and offer good service to consumers.
  • Build strong professional relationships with all stakeholders for each designated account.
  • Develop a strong understanding of target consumers, trends, and competition in key markets.
  • Maintain regular daily or weekly contact with Sales Leadership regarding sales updates, sell-through, issues, opportunities, and market intelligence.
  • Propose new opportunities to Sales Leadership.
  • Travel within China and key cities to gain a full understanding of opportunities that exist.
  • Provide the leader of HOKA Partner Retail and Wholesale team with data and analysis on all business areas as required.
  • Collate individual key accounts brand information, including market sales, product, and sales data, to provide the brand team with essential feedback and direction, outlining areas for future potential.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Cooperate with cross-functional teams smoothly.
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
  • Handle changes in policies or renewals.
  • Learn and understand brand knowledge of HOKA via E-LEARNING training, official website, and materials shared by the brand team.
