Your Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive and effective execution of forward sourcing activities from initial development through to product discontinuation, including the management of engineering change notices (ECN) for series sourcing in accordance with global procurement standards.

Main Tasks:

  • Manage the entire forward sourcing process from preliminary studies to product end-of-life, focusing on cost management, enhancement initiatives, ramp-up strategies, and supply risk mitigation, all in line with the material category strategy, ensuring quality and collaboration with R&D and logistics.
  • Design and implement supply chain management strategies to optimize material flow from suppliers to production, starting from the early development stage until the product reaches its end-of-life.
  • Organize, conduct, and assess tender processes.
  • Engage in supplier negotiations concerning pricing, quantities, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, business engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, physics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in international procurement, supply chain management, or product development.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and logistics.
  • Significant experience in forward sourcing within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in project management, preferably in agile development settings.
  • Strong analytical capabilities combined with a methodical approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Robust technical understanding, ideally in areas such as electronics, polymers, or mechanical processing.
  • Willingness to travel and possess intercultural awareness.
  • Ability to articulate complex issues clearly to both internal and external senior management.
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
  • Fluent in English for business communication.
