Job Summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to drive the development of our segment business. As a Segment Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development pipeline and streamlining the value chain to realize sales by influencing end-user decision processes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive the development pipeline and streamline the value chain to realize sales by influencing end-user decision processes.
  • Act as a Pressure Sensitive Label (PSL) material selection consultant and solve dispensing or PSL application problems.
  • Provide value-added services based on the understanding of end-users' business priorities and strategies.
  • Develop business strategies based on research studies and mobilize sales teams to work together to realize business opportunities.
  • Understand and scope the value chain ecosystem, new growth segments, and new innovations needed in the area.
Requirements
  • Clearly understand industry trends and form industry insights related to packages, especially labels, and pass them on to relevant departments within the company.
  • Work with design teams, package teams, procurement teams, and brand owners to successfully spec-in or influence brand owners to qualify Avery Dennison's material in their end product drawings.
  • Partner with sales teams and converters to realize business and streamline continuous supply of material to end-user-led projects.
  • Develop business plans and implement segment development initiatives.
  • Timely resolve end-user or ecosystem complaints and cases not resolved by sales or quality consult teams.
  • Create and update focused application strategies and product offerings by working with product managers and coordinate and drive execution.
  • Increase Avery Dennison's influence by ecosystem partnership and advocate sustainability and innovation.
  • Business development for new products, new application innovations, and new business models from conceptual levels to business realization.

  • Assessable business (including AD business) mapping in ecosystem.
