Position Overview

The Head of Marketing for China is responsible for steering the marketing initiatives and strategies to align with the company's objectives in the region. This role requires a dynamic leader who can effectively communicate and collaborate with both local and global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and operational plans to fulfill marketing goals. Collaborate with teams across Asia and globally to implement product and market strategies.
  • Design, plan, and oversee the digital interaction and experience platform for China, which includes digital marketing strategies, eCommerce, and customer self-service initiatives to enhance the MED ecosystem.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to guide product portfolio development and provide strategic recommendations for new product launches.
  • Monitor the implementation of marketing plans and make necessary adjustments to ensure targets are met.
  • Facilitate internal sales training to ensure a comprehensive understanding of product strategies, positioning, and messaging.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to create promotional plans that leverage marketing insights to optimize regional and seasonal opportunities.
  • Lead the planning and execution of significant international and national events, including conferences, exhibitions, product launches, and customer training sessions.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure marketing strategies and digital projects are integrated with broader business objectives.
  • Guide the Market Access team in developing and executing market access strategies and action plans to achieve business goals and foster relationships with external stakeholders.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is required; an MBA is preferred.

Experience

Extensive knowledge and a minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing management within the Medical Device sector are essential. Proven track record in business development and successful execution of strategic business plans is required. Experience in ophthalmology is advantageous.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to evolving needs is crucial. Experience in digital transformation initiatives and change management is necessary. Knowledge of Market Access is a plus.

Skills

Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities are essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders. A results-oriented mindset with a history of achieving business development targets is vital.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners is necessary. Strong leadership qualities to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals are important. A passion for innovation and staying updated on industry trends is essential.

Fluency in English is required.
