Senior Corporate Banking Specialist

HSBC Commercial Banking is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Corporate Banking Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for originating and structuring corporate and structured finance transactions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Originate and structure corporate and structured finance transactions for clients
- Maintain active dialogue with key clients and proactively propose financing solutions
- Manage the end-to-end transaction execution, including term sheet negotiation, pitching, credit write-up, credit approval, loan documentation, and drawdown
- Act as a single point of contact for complex and structured financing deals
- Engage with internal stakeholders to deliver at pace and challenge the status quo
- Sophisticated understanding of financial and commercial drivers key to strategic decision making
- Sophisticated understanding of transaction structuring and execution
- Strong appreciation of all areas of risk management and processes
- Awareness of the changing economic, social, and regulatory environment
- Proven track record in a client-focused environment, especially in business origination
- Proven track record in pushing the boundaries in terms of credit solutions and sectors explored
- Experience and relationships in the local PE/VC/FS environment in China
- Experience of leading directly or indirectly a diverse team to deliver solutions to customers
- Ability to think broadly and strategically rather than focus on short-term, local challenges
- Aptitude for authentically engaging a diverse group of stakeholders to deliver at pace
- Comfortable in initiating and willing to challenge the status quo
