Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Hotel Reservation Coordinator to join our team at Marriott International. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in the success of our hotel.
About the Role
The Hotel Reservation Coordinator will be responsible for processing all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. This involves identifying guest reservation needs and determining the appropriate room type, verifying availability, and explaining guarantee and cancellation policies to callers.
You will also be responsible for accommodating and documenting special requests, answering questions about property facilities and services, and following sales techniques to maximize revenue.
Additionally, you will input and access data in our reservation system, indicate special room reservation types, and follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations
- Determine appropriate room type based on guest needs
- Verify availability and explain guarantee and cancellation policies
- Accommodate and document special requests
- Answer questions about property facilities and services
- Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue
- Input and access data in reservation system
- Indicate special room reservation types
- Escalate guest concerns properly
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong attention to detail. You should also be proficient in using computer software and have experience working with customers in a fast-paced environment.
