Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Development Program Manager to join our team at Cooper Standard. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned engineer to lead the program design and development of new products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the program design and development independently, overseeing all aspects of product development from concept to launch.
  • Work closely with the CS global team to understand product and component drawings and specifications.
  • Review drawings and specs to ensure all requirements are clearly and correctly followed by CS plants and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new program quotes, understanding OEM's SOR and creating Pstudy and TR correctly.
  • Manage data and drawing management through the PLM system.
  • Support gauge development process and supplier audit regarding GD&T on drawings.
  • Provide support to process and manufacturing engineers on issues related to product spec, material spec, and testing requirements.
  • Define Design/Production Validation Plan for new programs and/or localization of components.
  • Review Validation Reports to ensure all requirements are correctly followed and met by production or suppliers.
  • Participate in team work of PFC/PFMEA/CP.
  • Support cost estimator to calculate material, labor, and ED&T.
  • Prepare Technical Review Meeting documents required by customer for potential new programs.
  • Maintain product and material information in ERP system.
  • Review tooling and fixture design proposals with process engineer to ensure all product spec and requirements are correctly met without any risk.
  • Demonstrate good communication ability with internal team and Customer.
  • Exhibit good business mind, problem-solving ability, and engagement.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in product development, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of leading program design and development projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
