As we continue to push boundaries, we're seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Strategic Policy Director - China Market Expansion.

About the Role

  • Serve as the company's external ambassador to Chinese government authorities, establishing long-term relationships with key stakeholders and fostering a constructive dialogue on consumer electronics, market supervision, standards, and intellectual property rights.
  • Monitor and analyze key policy, regulatory, and legislative developments that may impact Dolby's business and commercial partnerships, providing timely advice on business plans and strategies.
  • Engage with external consultants, industry peers, trade associations, think tanks, and academia to support the company's business goals and government affairs agenda in the China market.
  • Develop opportunities for Dolby executives and subject matter experts to provide thought leadership interactions with key Chinese decision-makers.
  • Cultivate internal alignment and effective execution through communication and partnership with business units.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in government service, in-house government relations at a multinational technology corporation, industry/trade association, or political consulting agency with an emphasis on the technology sector.
  • Deep knowledge of Chinese government institutions, networks, and policy-making procedures relevant to a technology company like Dolby.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and ability to bridge cultural differences.
  • Fluency in Chinese and English, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Prior experience in a similar role or related field, with a strong track record of developing and implementing government relations strategy and programs.
