Project Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Coordinator to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting specific activities or work tasks of projects, acting under the direction of the responsible program or project manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Track and disposition project information to support overall project success
  • Perform project status tracking and reporting by working closely with the team to gather task status input; track requirements completion; perform schedule maintenance; track risks and report their status; track project finances such as labor charges, invoices, and purchase orders; and develop cost reports.
  • Support project executing, monitoring, and controlling by following department protocols for acquiring team members as needed to complete the work. Support delivery of all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders.
  • Perform administration works, document management, and operation data processing, including coordinating and documenting meetings, tracking action items, and tracking document/information flow.
  • Develop positive relationships with team, customer, suppliers, Westinghouse in-country representation (for international projects), and other stakeholders to drive project to successful completion.
  • Support continuous improvement within the team by identifying, assessing, and implementing improvement opportunities which will add value.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
  • 4 years project management or controls experience or 2 years project management or controls experience and 2 years experience in a technical role in nuclear or construction industry.
  • Familiar with the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communications, ability to lead team members, and ability to develop relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and knowledge and skill of project scheduling and cost management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Westinghouse Project Manager qualification completed.
  • PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification or other equivalent project management certification completed or in progress.
  • Project controls-related certification (scheduling, estimating, earned value, risk, etc.) will be viewed as a plus.
