Purpose of Recruitment
The People & Culture team is focused on attracting, engaging, nurturing, and retaining a motivated, diverse, and purpose-driven workforce. As a People & Culture Specialist within the China team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Forum's talent acquisition efforts.
We seek a seasoned and innovative professional in people and culture who will primarily focus on attracting and engaging top-tier talent within the Chinese market.
This role is situated in the Forum's Beijing office.
Reporting Structure and Collaboration
You will report to the People & Culture Lead in China and the Head of Talent Acquisition in Geneva. Your role will involve partnering with the business on talent acquisition initiatives and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience for both internal and external talent.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation and localization of the Global Talent Acquisition strategy to facilitate the timely recruitment of high-caliber candidates. Oversee the complete recruitment process for designated job openings, which includes organizing hiring alignment meetings, job postings, active sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiations. Collaborate with colleagues involved in the interview process to enhance interviewing capabilities, promoting global standards and collaborative hiring practices. Work with colleagues to ensure that global diversity and inclusion principles are integrated throughout the recruitment process and internal mobility. Build Talent Pools for recurring recruitment needs and ensure effective candidate relationship management to keep talent engaged with the Forum. Develop innovative regional sourcing strategies that extend beyond traditional channels. Contribute to global employer branding initiatives and marketing efforts, ensuring they are tailored to meet the recruitment needs in China. Support strategic partnerships with universities to attract and select diverse top talent from educational institutions, aligning with local market focus areas. Implement onboarding programs to assist new hires in integrating into the Forum, including essential training in systems, tools, culture, and processes. Assist with People & Culture transactional activities while ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding of information. Stay informed on best practices regarding assessments, manager training, sourcing, and engagement to enhance candidate experience and support the Forum's success.Evaluation Criteria for the Successful Candidate
Hiring managers will regard you as a trusted partner in talent acquisition. You will ensure timely and quality recruitment of exceptional candidates. You will possess knowledge of talent market intelligence, acting as an advisor to hiring managers on attracting competitive candidates. Proficiency in utilizing digital and social media tools to broaden candidate access. You will enhance the Forum's brand and visibility as an employer of choice in China. You will ensure a high-quality and informative experience for new employees as they integrate into the Forum. You will proactively identify areas for optimization and alignment throughout the recruitment lifecycle. You will facilitate connections between the Beijing office and the broader organization, including Geneva and other Asia offices.Preferred Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., human resources, psychology, social sciences, business administration). At least 5 years of experience in recruitment, particularly within a multinational organization. Previous experience as an external recruiter and expertise in other HR domains (talent development, HR policy, compensation) is advantageous. Excellent command of English and Mandarin, both spoken and written. Highly organized, dependable, and efficient with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated customer focus and ability to leverage relationships to influence outcomes. Ability to work independently and adapt to competing priorities. Strong collaborative skills and sensitivity to people. Proficient in handling confidential and sensitive information with tact and diplomacy.
