Technical Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve application and system issues for both internal and external stakeholders of moderate complexity. Take initiative to learn and explore high-value customer problems, systematic bugs, or software failures.
- Develop, test, and validate installation and upgrade documentation for product releases at Applied Materials.
- Engage in product design, testing, and documentation evaluations as needed. Participate in user conferences to enhance product understanding.
- Provide after-hours customer support through designated communication channels as scheduled. Ensure telephone coverage as required.
- Attend training sessions for specific product lines and relevant external courses for third-party software.
- Deliver ongoing training to customers and customer engineers regarding technical products and system-related issues.
- Assist in the assessment of customer operating system performance, integration, and database management challenges. Provide updates and reports to management, partners, and colleagues.
- Mentor junior engineers in departmental and corporate procedures, as well as detailed product operations.
