Cyber Security is an essential aspect of modern business operations, gaining significant attention as it continues to evolve rapidly.

As a prominent provider of data and application security solutions, we specialize in safeguarding critical business information across both cloud and on-premise environments. Our clientele encompasses leading enterprises, government entities, small to medium-sized businesses, and service providers who depend on Imperva Incapsula for the secure and efficient delivery of their websites and applications.

The Role:
The Senior Sales Engineer (SE) will collaborate closely with Regional Sales Managers as part of the Global Sales Team, overseeing the technical sales support for Imperva's Web Application and Database Security/Compliance offerings to both existing and potential clients within the designated geographic area. The SE plays a crucial role in the sales organization, providing pre-sales technical expertise and presentations. They will engage with sales managers, prospects, and partners as a subject-matter expert, demonstrating how our solutions can meet and exceed customer expectations.

Required Background:

Engage in sales conference calls and prospect visits, delivering product demonstrations both in-person and via virtual platforms, while collaborating with prospects on both technical and business levels to illustrate the value of Imperva's solutions. Exhibit strong customer-centric selling skills with a proven track record of driving revenue. Serve as a technical resource at industry trade shows and conferences as necessary. Operate independently while also being a key member of a sales team. Collaborate with the sales team to strategize on approaches for business development. Ensure successful on-site product evaluations and post-sale installations when required. Manage the technical needs of the Regional Strategic Account customer base. Plan, manage, and execute customer product pilot programs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field – REQUIRED Over 5 years of experience in network security, development, and pre-sales engineering; ideally with at least 3 years in a sales engineering role within a startup or vendor environment. Strong understanding of web applications, databases, security, and auditing environments. Proficiency with Linux operating systems. Solid skills in TCP/IP, HTTP, load balancers, proxies, and firewalls. Familiarity with database technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, and DB2 is preferred. Knowledge of application development languages (ASP, .NET, PHP, JSP) is beneficial. Understanding of compliance standards (PCI, SOX, HIPAA) is an advantage. Ability to effectively present technical information to both small and large audiences. Experience with Network or Application Firewalls and/or IDS/IPS is a plus. Familiarity with scripting and/or using RegEx is advantageous. Knowledge of advanced internet routing protocols is a plus. Strong time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills, with a self-driven approach to success. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation abilities. Must have access to a suitable location for hosting virtual meetings with video capabilities. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required. Availability for approximately 50% travel is necessary.
