Your Contribution

As a Senior Technical Solutions Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) and asset-specific monitoring initiatives, particularly within the partial discharge monitoring sector in China and the broader APAC region. Your expertise in asset health monitoring, particularly through partial discharge technologies for gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) and power transformers, will be essential.

In this role, you will serve as the key liaison among product managers, regional sales, and engineering teams, facilitating the conceptualization of CBM solutions tailored to various utilities, industrial sectors, and oil & gas segments. Your influence will shape end-user specifications for Condition Monitoring solutions offered by Qualitrol.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic support to sales by leading the technology evaluation phase, acting as the primary technical advisor and advocate for our Condition Monitoring solutions.
  • Drive education and standardization efforts by conducting seminars and workshops, promoting demand for our solutions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to define market strategies and identify necessary product innovations.
  • Establish technical credibility with clients, reinforcing the Qualitrol brand while assisting sales teams with technical specifications and responses to RFIs/RFQs.
  • Represent Qualitrol at industry standards organizations and conferences, advocating for our interests in associations such as CIGRE, IEEE, and IEC.
  • Contribute to the industry by publishing papers and application notes that share best practices and success stories.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A proven track record in integrating monitoring solutions, including site installation and testing, along with in-depth knowledge of GIS and transformers.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to drive growth by translating company solutions into compelling value propositions for customers.
  • Proficiency in both Chinese and English.
  • A background in Electric Power Assets, various sensing technologies, and associated software analytics, along with familiarity with industry standards.
  • Active involvement with IEEE, CIGRE, IEC, or regional standard bodies, with contributions to industry standards being a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
