Position Summary

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to Sales Managers and their assigned Travel Partners and clients in all selling activities. The position aims to ensure operational excellence and satisfaction, leading to improved revenue performance. The BDS collaborates with Sales Managers to work with a diverse account base and assist departments in meeting or exceeding corporate growth goals through service support, electronic sales, and marketing efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist Sales Managers in managing and growing the assigned account base. Provide service support to clients, including handling inquiries, solutions, and ensuring satisfaction. Generate selling opportunities by assisting Sales Managers and Travel Partners with strategic sales and marketing efforts. Review and act on sales calls and inquiries for various sales functions/fields and Travel Partners. Leverage these interactions to create selling opportunities. Coordinate and execute corporate team events, trade-related events, such as ship tour, S@S, online training, sales conference together with trade MKT and trade Sale team. Work with the Sales and Business Development Support team to ensure accessibility and understanding of corporate and brand policies, procedures, and key selling attributes. Work with Travel Partners to ensure timely submission of Co-op marketing expenses in accordance with established guidelines. Network and interact with internal departments to act on requests and complete service resolution tasks. Follow up on all PSR contract-related tasks, ensuring push travel partners finish renew contracts before the end of the previous year.

Financial Responsibilities

Monitoring and tracking the submission of reimbursement materials by travel agencies to ensure timely compliance with company requirements. Liaising with travel agencies to ensure they understand and comply with company reimbursement policies and procedures. Ensuring that all necessary documentation and information is provided by the travel agencies for accurate reimbursement processing. Verifying the accuracy and completeness of reimbursement requests and submitting them to the appropriate internal departments for approval and payment. Monitoring the reimbursement process and ensuring that payments are made in a timely manner to the travel agencies. Coordinating with internal accounting and finance teams to ensure proper reconciliation and reporting of reimbursement transactions. Providing support and assistance to travel agencies in case of any issues or delays in the reimbursement process.

Qualifications & Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Familiarity with CRM software, such as Salesforce or HubSpot, is preferred but not required. Previous sales or customer service experience is beneficial but not required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
