XMandarin is a Chinese language school located in ChengduChina and we specialize in teaching foreigners Chinese language at our school. You will be working in a Chinese teaching environment with both foreign students and mainland Chinese people which all can speak English.

As an intern, you will support our marketing department, take over responsibility for your own fields of duty and be the contact person for social media and international cooperation.

Starting time: From January, July 2025

Length: 6 months

Tasks

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated intern to assist with the development of XMandarin Chengdu’s new campus, with a focus on expanding both local and international student enrollment. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in marketing, business development, event planning, and international education.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversea Market Development (XMandarin Language School - Chengdu)

• Identify, engage, and manage relationships with new and existing international clients and partners, serving as the primary point of contact (POC).

• Promote XMandarin’s programs to overseas markets.

• Regularly update and maintain XMandarin’s website and social media with fresh content, including student success stories, minicamp details, and event updates.

• Research and report on the development of international student recruitment trends, providing actionable insights to grow enrolment.

2. Local Market Development (XMandarin Chengdu)

• Assist in developing strategies to attract local students.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials tailored to the Chengdu market, emphasizing the benefits of studying at XMandarin.

• Represent XMandarin at local events, and conferences to increase visibility and recruit potential students.

3. Event Planning & Student Services

• Design, organize, and execute events aligned with XMandarin’s academic and cultural schedule, such as language workshops, networking events, and cultural excursions. Assist international students in adapting to life in Chengdu.

• Promote XMandarin’s programs.

• Build and expand relationships.

• Identify and evaluate candidates for our programs.

• Manage and update a database of contacts, partnerships, and applicants, keeping it organized and current.

• Event coordination.

• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to support promotional activities, including the creation of marketing materials, conducting outreach, and competitor analysis.________________________________________

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong interest in international education, marketing, or business development.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (Chinese proficiency is a plus).

• Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
