Strategic Business Growth Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled New Business Development Manager to join our dynamic Composites and Adhesives team in Shanghai, China. This exciting opportunity at Allnex will enable you to expand our global reach by identifying and exploring new business opportunities and relationships.
Job DescriptionThis role involves meeting with prospective and potential customers to create new business for the Composites and Adhesives division. You will collaborate closely with our local sales team to develop new business opportunities, expand our existing customer base, and create a market database for composites business in China.
- Generate target markets and key customers for the development of the Composites business in China.
- Regularly meet with customers to drive business growth.
- Study market trends, needs, and developments to implement a strategic plan for the growth of the Composite business within China.
- Manage CRM and opportunity pipelines effectively.
- Support the creation of new product literature and technical presentations for the China market.
- Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfers into China.
- Create and manage distribution channels for Composites products.
- Work with the Technical Service and Business Development team (TSBD) to manage product introduction and trials with customers.
- Support direct sales to customers or distributors.
- Identify technology requirements for customers and support trials and acceptance.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- At least 10 years of experience in various functions such as Sales, Technical Service, Marketing, or R&D, and in Business Development roles in multinational companies.
- Prior 5 years of experience working for a chemical manufacturer or distributor.
- Experience with UPR/VE, Gelcoats, or FRP composite materials is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Strong New Business Development skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage projects effectively.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Business intelligence mindset and skills.
- Self-motivation, strong ability to learn, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
You should hold a Bachelor's or Master Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields; an MBA is preferred.
Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of ¥600,000 - ¥800,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
