Compressor Solutions Engineer - Shanghai/Hangzhou

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of sales bids for ASU project proposals.
  • Direct essential activities for firm bid projects, which include:
    • Formulating project bid strategies, clarifying technical concepts and customer requirements,
    • Conducting thermal design assessments of compressors,
    • Performing risk evaluations,
    • Calculating cost estimates and optimizing schedules,
    • Preparing technical documentation,
    • Coordinating services and engaging in technical negotiations.
  • Facilitate the transition of projects to execution teams, including Engineering and Project Management, adhering to relevant guidelines and processes.
  • Provide technical assistance to sales managers and maintain close relationships with customers and partners during the pre-acquisition phase of projects, enhancing local technical expertise.
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders within international bidding teams and expert networks.
  • Actively participate in the ongoing enhancement of proposal processes and tools to ensure high-quality submissions.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in turbomachinery is preferred.
  • Over 5 years of professional experience in application engineering, bid management, or engineering, ideally within the turbomachinery sector.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong focus on business outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt.
  • Skills in collaboration and influence.
  • Willingness to travel for business and flexibility in managing work hours.
