About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Molex. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our TSBU products at specified OEMs, including standard products, customized products, and new developed products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability growth, customer base growth, and product application growth for TSBU products at specified OEMs.
  • Implement the strategy and plan for the Chengdu Design Center in support of local design and local product development.
  • Take responsibility for revenue, profit, pricing, and ROI of new developed products for specified OEMs.
  • Enable TSBU products to be successful at specified OEMs by removing barriers and making priority decisions as necessary.
  • Escalate barriers to GIG Auto and TSBU Management as necessary.

What You Will Do

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Being an expert of assigned OEM account and expert of TSBU, knowing well TSBU technologies, products, organizations, process, etc.
  • Representing TSBU in front of customers.
  • Acting as a communication channel between TSBU and sales force.
  • Leading and coordinating platform design-in opportunities.
  • Conducting product trainings/introductions to customers/sales team/distribution team.
  • Building relationships with OEM core teams, especially connector-related teams.
  • Filtering out real opportunities and working with sales teams to create CRM opportunities and support new CRM opportunities to be won.
  • Collecting information or conducting surveys at specified OEMs for connector technical requirements/specifications/design trends and market trends information.
  • Analyzing relative information, developing, and initiating new development opportunities.
  • Creating strategies in terms of TSBU revenue and profit growth, leading teams to execute to achieve goals.
  • Ensuring Molex advanced technology and products are introduced and accepted by OEMs to generate more opportunities, taking necessary actions to secure Molex existing business.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical area of study.
  • 6-10 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Marketing Specialist, Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Product Engineering Manager, Product Engineer, or Project Manager at a connector company for the automotive industry or automotive tier 1, including device makers and harness makers.
  • Familiarity with the automotive connector industry (basic knowledge, industry standard, OEM requirements).
  • Strong business/market sense and negotiation skills to achieve business goals/solve problems for win-win scenarios.
  • Strong analytical and executive ability with clear strategic direction, able to lead teams to create plans and implement with positive results.
  • English communication skills to express opinions and facts accurately internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of OEMs.

What Will Put You Ahead

Candidates with experience in the automotive industry, connector industry, SAP, commercial experience with cost analysis and quote development, and other relevant skills will be given preference.
