NYU Shanghai is seeking a highly skilled Food Safety Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our campus community, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our catering services.
Main Responsibilities
Food Safety and Quality Management (60%)
Monitor and inspect all aspects of food handling, including procurement, storage, processing, cooking, and serving, to ensure compliance with national and local food safety laws and regulations.
Regularly check the quality of food ingredients to ensure they meet relevant standards.
Hygiene and Environment Management
Oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of the cafeteria, including the kitchen, dining areas, and storage rooms, to prevent food contamination.
Inspect the personal hygiene of cafeteria staff to ensure they adhere to hygiene standards.
Food Safety Education and Training
Provide food safety training to cafeteria staff to promote food safety knowledge and improve staff awareness and skill levels.
Organize and conduct food safety-related training sessions and drills to ensure employees understand emergency plans and procedures.
Food Safety Record Management
Responsible for recording and managing food safety-related documents and archives, including food procurement logs, sanitation inspection records, temperature control logs, etc.
Regularly summarize and report on food safety conditions and propose improvement measures and suggestions.
Catering Service Management (30%)
Support daily operations, including monitoring food preparation, customer service, and cleanliness.
Monitor stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment, assist in ordering inventory, checking deliveries, and ensuring proper storage of goods.
Provide support in handling customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests to ensure a positive dining experience for all patrons.
Events Support (10%)
Help plan and execute special events, catering services, and themed meals by coordinating with various departments and ensuring all logistical details are handled.
Ensure that events run smoothly and help resolve any issues that arise during execution.
Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree is required.
Required Experience
Relevant experience in facilities management is required.
Relevant Sino-foreign cooperation university work experience is strongly preferred.
Catering service management experience is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient in English and Chinese, both in oral and written.
Good at cross-cultural communication.
Hold strong passion to pursue long-term career development in Campus and Facilities management of international university.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels and management.
Sharp insights into industry dynamics and trends, capable of formulating innovative food and beverage and food safety strategies.
Possess appropriate knowledge and skills in food safety management.
Practical, collaborative, effective problem-solver.
Fluent with software such as Word, Excel, PPT, and Ps.
