Accounting Support Specialist

Job Overview

Under the supervision of experienced accounting professionals, this role provides routine accounting services to business units and adheres to IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Sarbanes-Oxley Controls, and Unit Service Level Agreements (SLAs) when applicable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately input data within deadlines as per SOPs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Contact employees and departments as necessary to request missing information and resolve invalid data issues.
  • File relevant documents appropriately.
  • Diligently track and report accounting data accurately and escalate non-standard issues to the line manager.
  • Assist team members, including providing guidance to junior colleagues, to ensure the group meets all SLAs and targets.
  • Participate in teams handling various routine tasks within the accounting department.
  • Provide standard and ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Verify that necessary approvals are obtained for accounting purposes.
  • Identify areas for improvement in existing procedures and systems and suggest enhancements.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; 4 years' finance experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is also mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Peoplesoft Finance modules and Microsoft Office applications is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail, accurate data entry skills, and ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines are crucial.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and managers.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on location and qualifications. This compensation reflects the company's commitment to attracting and retaining top talent in the field of accounting.
