Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing business development opportunities that align with our company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and identify business development opportunities through fact-based analysis and market research.
  • Develop compelling justifications for business development initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and licensing agreements.
  • Engage with potential partners and manage communications and relationships to drive business growth.
  • Participate in due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiations to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Oversee the deal process and execution to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of working experience in business development, M&A, financial advisory, or management consulting.
  • Strong academic background, with a preference for those with an MBA or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to think strategically and align with company objectives for the long term.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills to evaluate opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in both Chinese and English.
  • Ability to think critically and analyze complex problems from multiple perspectives.
  • Motivated, highly organized, friendly, and adept at working collaboratively.
  • Experience in relevant industries (life science, analytical instruments, medical device) is a plus.
