Overview

ZF Group is a leading global technology company in the automotive industry, and we are seeking an experienced Senior In-House Counsel to join our team in Shanghai, China.

This role will be responsible for providing legal support to our Chassis Modules Business in the Asia Pacific region, including contract drafting, negotiation, and review. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of corporate law, Chinese laws and regulations, and experience working with multinational corporations.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a highly competitive salary range of RMB 800,000 - RMB 1,200,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, pension plan, and annual bonuses.

About the Role

As a Senior In-House Counsel, you will be responsible for:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and relevant legal documents for our Chassis Modules Business;
  • Providing legal support on a broad range of issues relating to customer and supplier contracts, corporate matters, and commercial transactions;
  • Managing and coordinating with external lawyers in arbitration and litigation cases;
  • Developing and implementing compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and success.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience as an in-house counsel or at a top law firm, preferably with a combination of both in-house and law firm experience;
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, Chinese laws and regulations, and experience working with multinational corporations;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients across cultures;
  • Ability to solve practical problems creatively and work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Well-organized and able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines;
  • Demonstrated initiative, teamwork orientation, and high intelligence level.
Education and Certifications

You will need:

  • A law degree from a top foreign or Chinese Law School; overseas education background is a plus;
  • Top Legal English communication skills, both in oral and written form;
  • Good command of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.
