Sales Director Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Sales Director to lead our sales efforts in China, driving growth and revenue for our Automotive business.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, with a strong background in Automotive markets. They should possess excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing deep client partnerships and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities- Lead revenue generation initiatives and drive sales growth in China
- Direct sales and local sales administration resources to achieve business objectives
- Oversee the training, development, and motivation of local sales teams
- Develop and implement annual plans, quarterly updates, and long-range planning processes
- Monitor organization reports and provide biweekly highlights
- Create and implement sales structures to support account strategies, tactics, and management contacts
- Overall 10 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development role
- Experience in Automotive markets required
- At least 5 years of proven leadership and team management experience
- Successful experience developing deep client partnerships and collaborating closely with engineering, production, customer service, quality, manufacturing, and others to develop new business opportunities
- Extensive business travel required
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Capable of strategically planning future product opportunities and demonstrate strong entrepreneurial skills in translating those plans into commercially successful and profitable product offerings
- Demonstrated skills as a communicator, both orally and in writing
- Structured thinking with analytical skills and ability to prepare business plans
- Self-starter capable of leading and/or participating effectively on globally-matrixed teams
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify, solve, and succinctly communicate complex problems
- High degree of comfort with ambiguity; ability to effectively navigate uncertainty
- Strong interpersonal skills required, including ability to effectively negotiate and build relationships internally and externally
- Ability and desire to work on multiple, time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Willingness to travel as required
