Executive Director of Recruitment, Admissions and Financial Aid

About the Role

NYU Shanghai seeks a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Recruitment, Admissions and Financial Aid to join our team. As a key member of our enrollment management leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to recruit and admit high-achieving students from around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment and admissions strategies to meet NYU Shanghai's enrollment goals.
  • Lead a team of admissions professionals in Shanghai and New York, providing guidance and support to ensure alignment with university objectives.
  • Represent NYU Shanghai at external events and conferences, positioning the university as a leader in US higher education in the region.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial aid programs for Chinese national students.
  • Oversee the admissions budget and ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in higher education administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills, with a proven track record of leadership and staff management.
  • Knowledge of market and societal trends affecting undergraduate enrollment at selective institutions, including best practices for admissions strategies.
  • Cogent understanding of international school systems and curricula, especially Gaokao examinations.
