Role Purpose:
• The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality examinations services for British Council Global Exams Services stream in South China through effective exam administration management, ensuring exam services are delivered in full compliance with all corporate standards and regulations set by examinations’ boards. In additional, this role will support the development and continued optimisation of exam administration procedures.
• It is expected the post holder to demonstrate a good capability in process management, communication, strong capacity in attention to details and have adaptability to change.
Accountabilities:
• Coordinate with different functional teams to work collectively to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality examinations services to candidates with full compliance to the corporate standards and the requirements of the exam boards. This includes but not limiting to manage confidential materials, candidates, test centre, client communications and payments.
• Optimise test administration system, procedures, and process.
• Strengthen relationships with examination boards and key stakeholders such as educational organizations, corporate clients, training providers and contribute to business development in the South China region.
• Perform required financial activities (for example: Purchase Order/Sales Order creation, Accrual, Income reconciliation, Finance tracking etc.) and support functional manager in finance monitoring to ensure accuracy and compliance to statutory requirements and corporate standards.
• To support the documentation or confidential materials filling, sorting and developing related document template and prepare designated exam related administrative materials with 100% accuracy in accordance with exam board’s requirement and British Council Exams Quality & Compliance Assessment (QCA) standards before the set deadline.
• Take proactive actions in the implementation of the British Council Examinations Quality Compliance & Assurance standards to ensure all confidential materials handling process is fully compliant.
• Ensure all duties are delivered in line with the British Council’s policy on Child Protection and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and these is taken into account when planning and delivering activity.
• Manage information created and received in compliance with the British Council’s information management standards, policies, the UK data protection principles and local legislation.
Role specific knowledge and experience:
• Experience in administration that required high level of attention to details and meeting strict deadlines.
• Demonstrable experience of people management and project management
• Demonstrable multi-tasking ability
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above
• Language:
o English at Proficiency Level B2 (Aptis B2, IELTS 6.0 or equivalent)
o Chinese at Proficiency Level C1 (HSK 5 or equivalent)
• Job involves occasional unsocial hours, weekend work and travel within China for test delivery. Such requirements will be managed within HR guidelines, including work life balance policies.
