Principal Responsibilities
Audit portfolio includes Institutional Banking Group (corporate banking), Risk Management Group (RMG) - Credit Risk, RMG - Operational Risk, Connected Party Transactions, and others when required by Head of China Audit. The key responsibilities include the followings:
Manage the audit team to deliver quality audit work Apprise Audit Head of key risk, control environment, as well as regulatory requirements of the portfolio in charge Support Audit Head in the development and maintenance of the overall audit plan and audit strategy, including risk assessment of the BU/SU. Lead and supervise the team to execute and complete the audit engagements, documentation as well as issue follow-up, in accordance with departmental and professional standards Foster professional rapport with senior stakeholders and assist Audit Head in regulatory engagement-(when required) Participate in control forums with the designate business portfolios including periodic management meetings Support Audit Head in the periodic management reporting (such as Audit Committee report, Auditor's Monthly Report, etc.) for the BU/SU. Manage team resources in support of execution of audit plan. Provide audit team members with proper guidance, coaching supervision, and regular performance appraisals.Education and Relevant Experience
Bachelor or master's degree At least 15 years' experience with relevant business or auditing background in a financial institution or in external CPA or consulting firms or internal audit of banks. In-depth audit or project management experience. A financial institution audit or consultancy background is preferred though not mandatory. Professional qualifications (, CPA, CIA, CFA, FRM, CISA, etc.) Professional auditing, accounting and/or banking background involving management positions. Strong knowledge on the relevant products, operations and regulatory requirements of the designated business portfolios, particularly corporate banking business and credit risk management. Ability to maintain an independent perspective. Ability to establish effective relationships with business executives. Strong conflict resolution, influencing and negotiating skills. Planning and other project management skills. Solid reporting, presentation and overall communication skills. Effective coaching, interpersonal, performance management and organizational skills. Creativity skills necessary to resolve complex problems and/or identify innovative control related alternatives or opportunities. Above average learning ability with a keen desire to support the learning of others.-
