Job Purpose
- Ensure business development for the Wind Blade business, guaranteeing regional mandate delivery.
- Contribute to revenue and profitability targets by collaborating with Blade Key Accounts, coordinating business levers such as strategy, business development, portfolio management, and sales teams.
- Lead the search for new opportunities at Owner and Turbine Co in China, liaising with Key Account Managers and local sales teams.
- Expand China Blade business market share by leading local sales teams on focused manufacturers.
- Develop and execute technology and product promotion plans in China.
Key Accountabilities
- Formulate the China Blade Business Development Plan in close coordination with regional sales managers, ensuring alignment with global segment strategies and tactics.
- Implement the development strategy into operational action planning and regional plans, driving course corrections as needed.
- Work towards regional revenue and profitability performance in line with agreed mandates, feeding into pricing excellence contacts when necessary.
- Gain in-depth understanding of customer needs at Turbine and Blade key customers through market research, including voice of customer discussions and interactions with regional sales teams and Key Account Managers.
- Collect competitive intelligence, identify industry needs and trends.
- Identify and prioritize commercial opportunities with Key Account Managers and regional sales teams, driving specifications into key accounts and creating new business leads.
- Participate in IBP monthly reviews and update project progress.
- Familiarize yourself with all applicable corporate and site policies/procedures regarding personal conduct, HSE standards, and comply with all applicable regulations.
Key Activities
Experience
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering, with an MBA preferred.
- At least 8+ years of experience in sales, marketing, product management, or business development functions.
- Chemical background is an advantage, with experience in the paints and coatings industry being a plus.
- Ideal experience in multiple industries/segments.
- Analytical mind with good financial acumen.
- Demonstrate strong performance orientation.
- Showcase organizational acumen.
- Solid interpersonal and influencing ability.
- Willingness to search for regional and customer insights to formulate optimal value propositions.
