Contract Logistics Area Business Development Manager

Beijing, China | Kontraktlogistik | CN2116813

You will be part of our Contract Logistics team, adding your leadership expertise and skills to the delivery of business growth.

Your Role

Your primary objective will be to develop existing or new contract logistics business by coordinating all business development actions and triggering opportunities for larger accounts at a country or cluster level.

You will do this by working with various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with our current commercial policy while focusing on the following key objectives:

Your Responsibilities

  • To drive sales and key account managers in developing less-than-container-load (LCL) opportunities, regularly joining sales calls.
  • To work with customer care and operational care teams (CCL and OCC) to ensure dedication and expertise to meet customer demands is deployed.
  • To ensure the profitability of the product, proactively following up on discrepancies.
  • To upload and maintain LCL selling rates (MSR) to our designated system (KN Rates) to support our pricing department with quotations, particularly with tailor-made selling rates for important opportunities.
  • To negotiate trucking and container freight station (CFS) rates to optimize the yield of the product, with the best service provider available according to our standards.
  • To provide regular LCL product training to all colleagues engaged in activities relating to your portfolio.
  • To develop tailored solutions for customers based on the product portfolio.
  • To maintain relationships with co-loaders.
  • To optimize yields by managing cargo flows via the best transportation option(s).

Your Skills and Experiences

  • PREFERRED candidates have BD experience in the north area of China.
  • Preferred candidates have experience in warehouse and distribution sales.
