Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead policy advocacy planning and execution on NRDL, NEDL VBP, and other key initiatives through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Support visits with government officials from NHSA, NHC, and other relevant organizations, serving as the primary point of contact between Abbott and central government.
  • Analyze central policy impacts on Abbott, providing deep insights to ensure alignment with eternal policy trends.
  • Promote product access and create a favorable external environment for business development.
  • Organize events with customers to ensure business alignment with government development agendas.

Management:

  • Develop strategies and plans for the region, driving business growth and success.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key officials from provincial reimbursement bureaus, healthcare bureaus, and pricing bureaus.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent, managing teams to ensure effective strategy implementation.

Non-Government Organization and Industry Associates Communication:

  • Leverage external stakeholders' platforms, government think tanks, and academic institutions to drive policy influence.
  • Communicate and work with Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and industry associations to positively impact policy.
  • Lead RDPAC's working group as a consultant and advisor.

Requirements:

  • Industry experience: Minimum 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Position experience: Minimum 8 years in government affairs, with 5 years or more in management roles.
  • Language skills: Fluent English, both oral and written.
  • Computer skills: Working knowledge.
  • Mobility: Frequent travel required (40% of time spent on travel).
  • Location: Beijing, Guangzhou, Nanjing.
  • Other special requirements:
    • Pharmaceutical-related policies and regulations knowledge.
    • Good understanding of business and product knowledge.
    • Good presentation and analysis skills.
    • Effective team leadership, credibility, and confidence within the team and with customers.
    • Excellent channel and network management.
    • Strong understanding and solving of market access issues in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Strong sense of 'Compliance Excellence'.
