We are seeking a highly skilled Application Specialist to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY (CHINA) LTD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing Statcom solutions to clients.
  • Design and configure STATCOM LP/MP systems, including SLD and layout design.
  • Develop STATCOM LP/MP system designs, equipment designs, and sizing, as well as performance guarantees.
  • Perform design studies for SVC/STATCOM systems, including flicker, MVar sizing, harmonic filter design, and performance analysis.
  • Perform equipment sizing and rating calculations for SVC and STATCOM systems, including VSC, phase leg reactor, FC branch, and pre-charging circuit.
  • Support tendering engineers in preparing technical proposals.
  • Assist sales teams in presenting Statcom solutions to customers.
  • Investigate AC/DC EAF processes and grid code requirements.
  • Review customer specifications and develop equipment and system design specifications, with knowledge of PSCAD simulation.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Power Systems, or related fields.
  • At least a couple of years of experience in the field.
  • Good knowledge of MMC power electronic equipment (IGBT/IGCT) and Statcom control strategies in industry and utility applications.
  • Proficiency in English language.
