At Covestro, we are seeking a skilled Channel Growth Strategist to join our team.

About the Role

The Channel Growth Strategist will play a crucial role in driving business growth through effective channel management. This includes managing volume growth, achieving overall targets with channel partners, and optimizing the balance between volume and margin.

You will be responsible for building channel management strategies to drive further baseload and sell-out business, as well as expanding customer bases for new business development.

In addition, you will assist in enhancing market transparency and supporting distribution sector business through co-visits with distributors. Regular monitoring and corresponding actions will be necessary to ensure business success, including pricing, marketing, and joint projects.

Responsibility for monitoring outstanding receivables and credit limits in assigned areas is also part of this role. You will inform next-level teams about credit standing and risks, assess ability to pay, and possibly stop deliveries if necessary.

Value Added

This position works closely with distributors, their customers (occasionally), and other operation functions to develop new business and sustain existing ones. The role ensures compliance and discipline in distributor sectors, motivating them to develop in line with Covestro's growth strategy.

Work Relations

Internal relationships will be maintained with OM, RPM, AD, Innovation, Segment Team, Credit Management Legal, IM, Logistics, internal supporting teams, and Project Teams. External relationships will involve Distributors, Customers (Management, Procurement, Technical, Sales, and Marketing etc.), Partners, End Users, and relevant people in institutions.

Qualification Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a college degree or above in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a relevant chemical or commercial education. A minimum of 3 years of sales/marketing experience in chemicals and polymers industries is required, along with good knowledge of sales and marketing principles.

Distributor management experience is a plus, and fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential. Good report writing skills, experience in using Word, Microsoft Excel, PPT, and strong planning, presentation, and organizational skills are also necessary. Optional: some experience in project management would be beneficial.

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000 - $180,000, depending on location and qualifications.
