Position Overview

As a New Business Development Manager in the Composites and Adhesives division at allnex, you will be responsible for expanding our global reach through expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop strategic plans to grow the Composites business in China.
  2. Meet with prospective customers to create new business opportunities.
  3. Collaborate closely with the local sales team to develop new business opportunities.
  4. Manage CRM and opportunity pipelines to track progress.
  5. Support the creation of new product literature and technical presentations for the China market.
  6. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfers into China.
  7. Create and manage distribution channels for Composites products.
  8. Work with the Technical Service and Business Development team to manage product introduction and trials with customers.
  9. Support direct sales to customers or distributors.
  10. Identify technology requirements for customers and support trials and acceptance.

Required Skills and Experience

  1. 10 years' experience in a variety of functions such as Sales, Technical Service, Marketing, or R&D, and in Business Development role in a multinational company.
  2. Prior 5 years of experience working for a chemical manufacturer or distributor.
  3. Experience with UPR/VE, Gelcoats or FRP composite materials is preferred.
  4. Proficient with MS Office tools.
  5. Strong New Business Development skills.
  6. Good command in English.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Good interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  9. Ability in project management skills.
  10. Good negotiation and persuasion skills.
  11. Excellent business intelligence mindset and skills.
  12. Self-started, strong ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field; MBA is preferred.
