Key Accountabilities:
  • Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE):
    • Ensure world-class SHE for the operation of AITC and Greater China Team
    • Implement SHE best practices for capability extension
    • Continuously improve SHE culture, adhering to Victrex Global SHE guidance and governance
  • Quality:
    • Understand market and customer technical challenges accurately
    • Deliver reliable technical knowledge based on robust data through internal capability and ecosystem
    • Integrate data and information with global systems and databases
    • Comply with all regulations and qualifications with Victrex global consistency as applicable
Delivery:
  • Lead and drive strategic and tactical technical deliverables to grow and retain business in Greater China
  • Deliver technical knowledge in both virtual and physical formats for application development and technical service
  • New product development through SCP (Shanghai Compounding Plant)
  • Execute IP strategy
  • Cultivate and promote Centre of Excellence for supporting global business
  • Deliver differentiated solutions together with internal stakeholders based on technical assessment of regional competitive landscape
Cost:
  • Strategic and tactical forecasting and proactive management within budget
  • CAPEX business case development and execution
  • Business case prioritization and resource optimization for effective delivery of projects and services
Integration:
  • Integrate and lead cross-functional stakeholders for technical delivery to grow Victrex business
  • Synergy with other Technical Centres for maximizing customer experience
  • Sustainable development of Greater China Technical Team using Victrex HR initiatives
  • Integration with internal/external customers by providing differentiated solutions

Required Skills:

  • Diplomacy in working with stakeholders both internally and externally towards a common goal
  • Proven strong leadership experience in leading a technical organization with a future focus while managing expectations of cross-functional stakeholders at senior level
  • Delivery of world-class technical customer experience based on strategic and tactical decision-making
  • Driving and managing portfolio of projects including new product development and capital investment by optimizing resources, hands-on when needed
  • Driving delivery of differentiated solutions as a customer-facing technical engineer throughout customer experience journey
  • Demonstration of best practice for successful team development and global integration
  • Native Chinese speaker with high-level English skills
