About The Role
Cross Border Business (CBB) helps key Chinese and other global clients to succeed in Japan and US via Smartnews marketing solutions. Global marketing done right is becoming more challenging due to fast-changing consumer expectations, diversity in individual market landscapes, and the rate of technological change. Our team aims to grow the SmartNews ads business sales by driving the acquisition of cross-border advertisers and agencies, while also improving awareness and media priorities in targeting industries.

  • Develop new and existing advertiser relationships directly and via agencies in Asia market.
  • Gather advertisers’ feedback and deep dive solutions to satisfy local advertisers’ expectations, via collaborations  with Account Management and cross-function teams
  • Research on potential opportunities in China market and develop new local advertisers and agency partners
  • Enhance business scale with top local advertisers via deepdiving advertisers’ expectations and providing performance enhancement solutions with AM and cross-function teams
  • Lead joint business plan development, agency-level strategy and develop existing agency relationships to facilitate agreements and speed up business growth
  • Collaborating with Ad Products and other key departments to enhance our products via customer feedback-sharing and other customer-related activities
  • Improve awareness and media priority of Smartnews in local targeting industry via conference attending and other marketing solutions

Requirements

  • Experience in advertising/online media sales or marketing
  • Proven track record of delivering result
  • Experience in cross-border transactions and working experience of serving for clients in Asian countries. 
  • Business-level English and Chinese
  • Ability to make frequent business trips for on-site project management, and ability to carry out new customer acquisition and manage relationships with both new and existing customers
