Oxford Nanopore Technologies is headquartered at the Oxford Science Park outside Oxford, UK, with satellite offices and commercial presence in many global locations across the US, APAC and Europe. Oxford Nanopore’s sequencing platform is the only technology that offers real-time analysis (for rapid insights), in fully scalable formats from pocket to population scale, that can analyse native DNA or RNA and sequence any length of fragment to achieve short to ultra-long read lengths.
Our goal is to enable the analysis of anything, by anyone, anywhere. We offer real-time nanopore-based DNA/RNA sequencing technology: accessible, easy to use and fully scalable for any requirement.
We are looking for an expert and highly motivated Key Account Manager covering Guangdong, Shenzhen, Hong Kong to deliver on commercial targets.
The role will work with other experienced professionals globally to actively drive growth and awareness of company’s products. They will be responsible, along with others in team, for implementing a strategic business plan and delivering to commercial targets within the region. They will support driving growth through established and new customers in Greater China region (primarily focused on Hong Kong) as well as various National Strategic Project coordination. They are supported by the Customer Service, Technical Support and Applications teams.
Key responsibilities include
Gathering potential key account information and identifying and closing new opportunities Contributing to planning to disrupt the existing NGS market Understanding of funding cycles and the decision-making process in designated key accounts Delivering to the agreed commercial targets for MinION, GridION and PromethION systems Working in close collaboration with Channel Partners and Distributors to complete a comprehensive territory sales plan Adhering to standard methodologies for tracking, recording and detailing relevant commercial intelligence from all customer interactions Handling weekly sales prospective information and reporting and updating the regional teamWhat We're Looking For
A MSc or equivalent graduate degree preferably in Life Sciences and experience as a commercial professional with excellent organisation and time management skills.
Ideally, we hope that you'll have experience working with research/life science departments and proven abilities in selling sophisticated products or services. You know your way around CRM systems, are commercially astute with the ability to work to budgets and you have excellent local knowledge of business practices.
We hope this role will suit someone keen to join a cutting-edge high-tech organisation and who is confident working with little supervision.
We would also prefer a candidate who has experience presenting and negotiating and is confident to do so. A positive ,can-do attitude and strong communication in Mandarin Chinese and English are also required.
