The Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) team is looking to onboard a skilled Search & Evaluation professional in China to identify and seize innovative partnership opportunities with life science and biotech companies. This role involves scouting for groundbreaking therapeutic assets, leading due diligence processes, and negotiating deals to bolster our R&D pipeline across various therapeutic areas and modalities.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and evaluating business development prospects with life science and biotech companies, focusing on cutting-edge science to enrich our R&D pipeline.
  • Collaborating with scientific leadership to assess partnering opportunities and develop partnering strategies based on novel science.
  • Leading cross-functional due diligence teams and guiding the evaluation of potential partnerships.
  • Analyzing the competitive landscape to inform business development strategy.
  • Supporting negotiation and execution of licensing deals, collaborations, and alliances.
  • Acting as the primary scientific contact for business development projects.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Education:

  • Required: PhD in a life sciences discipline.

Experience & Skills:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry or related fields, with a focus on business development.
  • Strong scientific knowledge across various therapeutic areas and ability to translate technical information into business opportunities.
  • Understanding of drug discovery, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated impact-driven mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Sound judgment and strong networking skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and contract negotiations.
