Main Objectives:

  • Enhance the legal department's capacity to support Chassis Modules Business-related legal entities in China and Region Asia Pacific.
  • Support key projects, M&A transactions, governance, and compliance-related topics as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an experienced member of the in-house team.
  • Quickly adapt to a standalone business environment as an in-house legal advisor.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and relevant legal documents for Chassis Modules Business legal entities.
  • Provide legal support by advising on a broad range of legal issues, including customer & supplier contracts, corporate, and M&A-related matters.
  • Manage and coordinate with external lawyers in arbitration & litigation cases.
  • Legal & Compliance training.
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by line manager/General Counsel.

Requirements, Skills, Abilities:

  • Excellent legal document drafting skills in English and Chinese, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with general corporate culture within multinational corporations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems creatively and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Well-organized and able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated initiative with integrity, teamwork orientation, and high intelligence level.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate law, Chinese laws, and regulations related to foreign investment companies.
  • Chinese Bar exam or equivalent.
  • 6-8 years of MNC in-house or top law firm experience, ideally combining both in-house and law firm experience.
  • LLB or LLM from top foreign or Chinese Law Schools, with overseas education background a plus.
  • Top Legal English communication skills in both oral and written form.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.
