About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to support our Private Equity business in Shanghai. As an Associate, you will play a critical role in driving our business forward and delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support team members on various aspects of client projects and Network Member engagement.
  • Recruit new experts to join our insight network through targeted lead generation and timely outreach.
  • Build your understanding of client strategies, various industry sectors, and value chains to identify and vet the best experts for client projects.
  • Schedule and confirm critical calls and meetings between our clients and Network Members.
  • Proactively engage with Network Members to understand their expertise and gauge their fit on client projects.
  • Collaborate closely with client-facing team members to expand projects and rescope recruiting populations.

  • Excel in a fast-paced, phone-based environment that demands attention to detail and prioritization of various workflows.
  • Develop strong, transferable business skills, including communication, time management, negotiating, problem-solving, project management, and research.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on and across regional and global teams to contribute to revenue and broader commercial success.
  • Mentor future GLG Associates as you become tenured and proficient in your role.
Requirements
  • Confident and strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal skills, and motivation to work on the phone daily with Network Members and potential recruits.
  • Ability to work responsibly and manage multiple, simultaneous tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • High motivation to exceed personal weekly, monthly, and quarterly commercial targets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly digest and implement feedback and coaching.
