OEM Business Development Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. This role will focus on identifying and evaluating opportunities to supply products and out-license on an OEM basis for use by other companies in their products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish high-level relationships with companies in the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) and applied markets space.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to OEM-out the company's products to other companies for use by them on an OEM basis and/or license the Company's intellectual property to third parties.
- Develop and implement specific account plans to build strategic relationships with clients in multiple functions and at multiple levels.
- Align, coordinate, and lead cross-functional teams to complete prioritized business opportunities.
- Prioritize effective customer visits by colleagues who are authorities in technologies and project execution from global production and R&D sites.
- Coordinate technical support to fulfill client needs, respond to inquiries, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Sophisticated knowledge of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, BioProduction, and company products.
- Knowledge of IVD regulations and manufacturing quality standards.
- Knowledge of the fundamental concepts of intellectual property, patents, and contract law is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of meaningful experience, including identification, validation, and execution of strategic business opportunities and market research.
- Proven ability to lead teams without being the manager both internally and externally.
Working Conditions:
Must have flexibility to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Frequent travel is required (up to 50%).
