Strategic Business Development Manager

- Lead the Private Equities, Client Solutions team in Shanghai to achieve commercial targets and develop the Financial Service client base.
- Develop a business plan in collaboration with the Leadership team, Sales team, and other GLG stakeholders to drive growth and revenue.
- Manage a book of clients in the financial service space, delivering high-class client service and setting an example for the team.
- Coaching team members and supporting direct reports in their professional development plans to ensure best-in-class client service practices.
- Facilitate high-value engagements between GLG experts and clients while upholding industry-leading standards in Compliance.
- Support the Sales team in growing GLG client relationships in Greater China through proactive outreach, project execution, and client feedback.
- Develop relationships with GLG's most respected thought leaders and business professionals to drive business growth.
- Stay up-to-date on private capital news and events to provide valuable insights to clients in collaboration with the Sales team.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in consulting, banking, information services, market research, or professional services.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Strong go-getter attitude and track record of business growth turnaround.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of client service professionals.
- Successful track record of working in a fast-paced, client-service environment with a passion for problem-solving and a client-centric mindset.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and interest in sales, negotiation, or networking with high-end professionals.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize activities effectively while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills and willingness to engage senior professionals as a knowledge and research partner.
