Your expertise will play a vital role in the team's overall success and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote product adoption and utilization: Collaborate closely with customers, including university libraries and research offices, to conduct effective product training. Organize user events such as academic reading activities and workshops to ensure widespread adoption and high engagement with our offerings.
- Establish enduring partnerships: Build trustworthy relationships with customers, particularly key decision-makers, by providing guidance on enhancing academic research performance, talent cultivation, and university rankings, leveraging the strengths of our products and solutions through regular interactions and industry events.
- Oversee customer retention and renewal: Manage the post-sales lifecycle, from onboarding to renewals. Monitor customer health by analyzing product usage and gathering feedback to identify potential attrition risks. Collaborate with the sales team to retain at-risk customers by demonstrating the value of our products.
- Identify growth opportunities: Engage proactively with customers to understand their needs and identify new opportunities for our products and services. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure customers benefit from these offerings, fostering long-term satisfaction.
- Timely response to customer inquiries: Provide high-quality reports on product usage upon request. Gather customer feedback on product features and collaborate with internal teams to address any issues or concerns raised.
Qualifications
- PhD in physical, medical, or life sciences with a strong research background; Master's degrees with significant professional experience will also be considered.
- Passionate about supporting researchers in advancing science and technology.
- Extensive experience with academic research processes at universities and institutions.
- Strong understanding of the needs of academic researchers in various activities, including funding applications and publishing.
- Highly analytical, comfortable working with large datasets to derive insights.
- Self-motivated, organized, and possessing strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
- A solid network within the research community is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in the MS product suite; programming skills are a plus.
- Experience in customer service, publishing, or SaaS industries is preferred but not mandatory.
