:Account Manager
Huntsman’s Polyurethanes division is now looking for an Account Manager to focus on PU Elastomer.
This role is to develop and implement the sales activities of TPU business to realize the mid and long-term growth objectives of the Elastomers business in China and also in line with strategy of global Elastomers.
This role is located in Huntsman Shanghai Campus.
As the Account Manager PU Elastomer, you will:
EHS
- Ensure business activities are in full compliance with Company policy, EHS standards and local regulations.
Sales development
- Be responsible for sales target regarding to contribution margin (CM) & sales revenue, CM oriented thinking and activities
- Supervise and consolidate the sales forecast for accounts in charging area.
Strategic Tasks and Implementation
- Identify valued accounts and develop key project profiles.
- Implement the sales and marketing directions per agreed directions
Product / Business Development
- Scout for new business opportunities in the respective sales areas / key accounts and develop a business plan
- Work together with cross functional team to create a harmonious working atmosphere.
Market Intelligence
- Systematically collect, monitor and consolidate market intelligence, competitor behavior, demand situation of key accounts etc.
Customer Management
- Be the first customer contact to (key) accounts, frequently meet with customers.
- Develop a profound understanding of the customers (e.g. business model and organization, roles and responsibilities, decision makers, influencers) as well as business / market drivers; accordingly translate this knowledge into profitable sales activities.
- Conduct field visits, seminars, presentation and attend to customers’ inquiries.
- Attend to customers' enquiries / complaints by coordinating customers and Huntsman technical team on technical issues.
- Provide prompt response related to quality, technical applications, inquiries, and other related issues; conduct customers’ assessments and analysis.
Credit Management
- Monitor the growth of the customers’ business, review and coordinate with credit control to make appropriate credit recommendations
- Follow-up on payment collections and ensure on-time payment from the customers and achieve zero bad debts
- Ensure business activities are in full compliance with Company policy, EHS standards and local regulations.
- Deliver agreed sales targets (volume and CM) for designated segments & products, increase Huntsman market share in target market segments and territories.
- Actively probe and identify new business opportunities and penetrate into new markets/customers
- Make price calls according to company pricing policy and limits of authority.
- Propose and execute sales forecast and accounts plan.
- Conduct regular customer visit, manage key accounts & distributors, responsible for customer relationship and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with peers in other regions to maintain & development business in global accounts.
- Coordinate with Technical Service team to provide technical support to customers, resolve application problems and customer complaints in order to assist in customer’s product development and suggest use of Huntsman’s products in order to increase sales.
- Take control of account receivable, debtors and achieve zero bad debts.
- Responsible for Product Stewardship delivery to customers
- Bring understanding of market needs, collect and analyze competitive information, establish account database for assigned markets and industries
- Work together with Technical Development team to commercialize new products
Skills and experiences required:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, polymer science, or Material science related.Experiences:
Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience on Specialty Chemical Business, in MNC is a plus. Proven track record of successful business growth, strong capability of “valued” (CM priority) biz. development.Skill:
In-depth knowledge of polymer or material science, technical know-how and applications Mandarin and excellent oral/written English skills are necessary. Basic computer skills like Word/PPT/Excel are a must. Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization and business team environment.Additional Locations:
