Technical Support Specialist

Job Overview
The role involves the installation of advanced equipment at client sites, which includes handling new features, unloading components, inspecting for damages, assembling, aligning, and testing the equipment. You will be responsible for analyzing the applicability, accuracy, and compliance with design specifications, and recommending design modifications or material substitutions when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and troubleshoot issues, executing necessary repairs effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and field support teams to identify and resolve technical problems.
- Conduct daily maintenance and optimization of equipment to enhance performance and prevent potential issues.
- Provide training to customers on the operation and routine upkeep of equipment, addressing inquiries professionally.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource for users experiencing routine malfunctions, advising on corrective actions and procedural adjustments.
- Perform administrative tasks, including documentation of work orders, field service reports, and monthly summaries.
- Prepare detailed technical reports independently and offer support to less experienced personnel as needed.
Work Environment
Expect to spend a significant portion of your time within a clean room setting, engaging with mechanical and electrical systems.
Flexibility and Communication
The position requires adaptability to flexible working hours, including potential overtime. A proactive approach to communication and a willingness to learn from peers is essential.
Educational Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience is required, along with a solid mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, semiconductor processes, and relevant software.
Safety and Language Proficiency
Knowledge of safety protocols is mandatory, and a sufficient level of oral and written English is necessary for effective communication.
